Children are taught geography alongside history. When learning about historical events, children are learning about where in the world these events took place and the human and physical characteristics of these areas. Abbey Meadows is very lucky to have a class set of mini globes that children can study, to fully understand where different countries are located and why they might share common characteristics. In their time in primary school, all children learn to label the 7 continents, as well as the 5 oceans. Children learn a lot about the United Kingdom, including the different regions and the similarities and differences among them.
