37.5 hours a week flexible between 7am- 7pm Monday to Friday. 52 weeks a year with 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Pay scale Level 4 Point 18 £9.78 per hour

Start date: July 2018


We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed person to assist the Site Manager with the day to day smooth running of the school site. You must be able to work as part of a team, and be flexible to meet the needs of the school.


The main duties consist of maintenance of the school building including electrical, attending to minor plumbing issues, as well as some painting and decorating. Also care and maintenance of the grounds, pitch and running track marking. This includes grass cutting, hedge cutting and maintenance of shrubbery. Duties also include the maintenance of all hard standing grounds. You will use a range of machinery.


You will also be responsible for securing and locking the school at the end of each day.


Experience in the following is desirable but not essential:

  • Health & Safety / Security / PA1 and PA6 in the safe handling and application of Pesticides / General Repairs and Maintenance / Cleaning / Manual Handling.
  • The role requires someone who has excellent organisational skills.
