Uniform

The school uniform is changing over time. Children currently at Abbey Meadows will not have to make the change until September 2019. Until this time children can continue to wear the existing uniform and colour scheme. However, should the uniform need to be replaced then you can purchase the new uniform.

We have a dress code at Abbey Meadows which we encourage all children to follow. The expectation for pupils is:

  • For girls: Grey school trousers, grey shorts or grey skirt
    • In summer: as above, or red and pale blue school dress
  • For boys: Grey school trousers or grey shorts

For all:

  • Pale blue polo shirt
  • Dark grey jumper
  • Black school shoes - not trainers

We ask that, for safety reasons, children do not wear jewellery other than one pair of plain ear studs.

PE Games and Swimming

To ensure children get the most from their PE lessons it is important that they are dressed appropriately. School PE Kit is as follows:

  • Winter: black tracksuit bottoms
  • Spring and Summer: as above, or black shorts
  • White t-shirt
  • Trainers or pumps

For swimming, children will need a swimsuit. Hair will also need to be tied back.

Every child should have black shorts, a white t-shirt and a pair of plimsolls. It is useful to have a warm tracksuit and trainers as PE takes place throughout the year and we are outside as much as possible. PE kit should be kept in a bag which is clearly labelled with the child’s name.

All school clothes, bags and footwear need to be clearly labelled to ensure children end the day with the same outfit they started with.

Hair should always be tied back. All jewellery should be removed, including earrings.
